cant believe it... I MADE MY OWN GDESK design,,, and its an i phone like,,, with the slide feature.... whoever made GDESK!!!! im loving it... plus downloading the opera mobie 9.5,,,,, seems like im using an Iphone.... kudos..... p1 user

5800 home screen gets destroyed once the GDesk when some error occures while desiging. The home screen does not show contacts and the configuration of home screen display items does not show the option contacts for selection.
be careful while using with 5800. The only way to restore proper functioning is to factory reset. This options makes you loose data if anything remained to backup before doing factory reset. I've suffered. |

I tried the Gdesk for my SE G900 but everything went bad. I tried to use a premade theme (some Vista style theme) but it didn't appear correctly in the Gdesk. Everything just seemed to be incorrect, buggy and disorganized... Was that Vista theme designed for some other version of Gdesk or SE mobile phone? I remember that the theme was designed for 320X240 so it should have worked in my G900. But goddamit. How Do I use the new theme? Always when I exited the Gdesk I did not have any new custom made Vista theme. The original UIQ3 base was there. How the hell I turn the UIQ system into a Vista look-a-like? I have read all the manuals but they do not provide enough instructions for noobs.
I tried to use these Gdesk Vista themes: http://www.ipmart-forum.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=306332&d=1190192851 I just managed to turn my main menu to landscape mode and couldn't turn it back to normal. So I ended up with deleting all the files and programs from my G900 and I installed everything again and did a firmware update also. So I am now asking some complete and accurate instructions how to USE A MADE-UP THEME I'VE DOWNLOADED FROM INTERNET AND TURN MY G900 INTO A VISTA LOOK-A-LIKE!

Helo! 1st - thanks for your works it's good.
Gdesk 0.33d works on 5800! but with same problems: 1st - i can't load any designs 2nd - if push a menu shortcut and try back - my smart out on original homescreen not on gdesk. i really thanks you for work. if you try optimize this problem and done it - it's will be great! and at last - sry for my eng...

when using gdesk on nokia 5800 how can i add a dialer to it? everytime i call a number that's not in the contacts, i need to switch back to the main menu in order to dial it.
